Product Development
This running short is a development base rather than a stock item. The 5 inch inseam, the leg opening width and the brief liner pattern can each be adjusted to a brand's fit intent, and the pocket layout can be reduced to a single zip pocket or extended with a waistband stash. The drawcord can be made internal or removed, and the shell can be re-coloured or worked into a tonal colour block.
Sample Development Notes
At sampling, confirm the shell composition and weight, the brief liner pattern and its composition, the flat waistband depth and drawcord channel, the front zip pocket size and the internal back pocket layout, and the hem finish with side vents. Approve size grading on a fit model and agree the logo artwork, placement and method at the left leg hem.
OEM / ODM / Private Label
OEM: build the short from the buyer's own tech pack, measurements, colourways and labels. ODM: develop from the HUCAI direction, including the relaxed leg openings, the brief liner and the five-pocket layout. Private label: apply the buyer's branding, woven labels and packaging to the same construction, with the liner and pocket details agreed at sampling.
