Brands should review fit, inseam, liner comfort, waistband pressure, pocket position, fabric stretch, fabric recovery, anti-chafe seams, logo placement, and movement performance. A training shorts sample should be tested through squats, lunges, running, sitting, stretching, and phone pocket use if storage is part of the design.
